The Way of Jesus in the Public Square
The 21st Century has revealed that many of humanity’s cultural fault lines lie along religious lines. These divisions are often caused because religious leaders regularly have two messages—one for insiders, and one for outsiders. The 1st Century message that Jesus came proclaiming was different. It casted a vision for all people unified together—and its proclamation was the same for those both inside and outside. This message—called the Kingdom—brings unity to the world once again, as we are all reconciled to God. That is the message of Jesus—that we would live lives reconciled to God’s created purposes.
